Men's Tennis Competes At George Mason Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland men's tennis team played two sets of singles matches and a slate of doubles against opponents from George Mason University and Mount St. Mary's University on Saturday.

Keyan Sanai won both of his singles matches, defeating George Mason's Jimmy Davis, 6-1, 6-3, and Mount St. Mary's Adam Salam, 6-2, 3-0 (retired).

Kevin Zingler was a 7-6, 6-2 winner in singles action, earlier in the day against Salam, and Keishi Goto topped The Mount's Patrick McGinley, 6-2, 6-1.

Patrick Glaessner competed in the pair of singles matches, falling to George Mason's Chris Borden, 6-0, 6-0, and Mount St. Mary's Mike Zabetakis, 6-1, 6-0. Harrison Kunkel lost, 6-3, 6-1, to The Mount's Mike Salomon, and 6-1, 4-6 (6), to the Patriots' Kevin McMillen.

McMillen also defeated Ryan Fitzgerald, 6-0, 6-1, and Fitzgerald was topped by Mount St. Mary's Taylor Price, 6-3, 6-3. Eric Michaelis was beaten by George Mason's Nick Barker, 6-2, 6-0, and Tom Hamm fell to Steven Hyre, 6-4, 6-3, and Mount St. Mary's Paul Chae, 6-4, 6-4.

In doubles action, Michaelis and Hamm teamed to defeat Mount St. Mary's Chae and Jastin Mostowtt, 8-0.

The men return to George Mason on Sunday for the final day of competition.
