Mulieri Finishes Tied For Fourth At Snowman Getaway

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Senior Jay Mulieri led the Loyola University Maryland golf team in the Washington State Snowman Getaway at the Palm Valley Country Club Tuesday, finishing the two-day tournament in a three-way tie for fourth place. Mulieri carded a 1-under 71 in the final round to finish at 1-under 215 for the tournament.

UCLA's Mario Clemens won the individual title with an 8-under 208, while teammate Jay Hwang finished one-stroke behind for runner-up honors. UNC-Greensboro's Colin Chapman rounded out the top three with a 3-under 213.

As a team, the Greyhounds finished 10th overall with an aggregate score of 905. Missouri-Kansas City won the team title with a 13-over 877, while Missouri State finished second at 14-over 878. UNC-Greensboro took third with a score of 26-over 890.

Individually for the Greyhounds, freshman Bart George finished tied for 44th at 228 after shooting a 4-over 76 on the final round. Third for Loyola was senior Patrick McCormick who shot an 80 on the day and finished at tied for 56th overall with a score of 231. Junior Jon Ross was two strokes behind McCormick, at 233, after shooting a 6-over 78 on the final round.

Senior Ryan McCarthy also shot a 78 on the final round, finishing the tournament tied for 79th with a score of 240.

Loyola will return to action on Monday, March 19 when it heads to Orlando, Fla., for Central Florida's two-day Rio Pinar Invitational.
