BALTIMORE - Senior captain Scarlett Hoy ended her final home match in spectacular fashion as the Loyola University Maryland women's tennis team defeated George Mason University in a dual match tilt, 4-3, Wednesday afternoon.

Hoy finished her outstanding career with very impressive numbers as she accomplished 50 victories in singles and 52 wins in doubles, helping the Greyhounds to a 54-26 team record during her four years. Hoy alongside teammate Tiffany Ash started the day off for the Greyhounds, after being down 4-3, coming back for an 8-4 victory at #3 doubles.

#2 doubles Megan Hahn and Olivia Ott didn't disappoint as they pulled out a close 8-6 win to clinch the doubles point for Loyola. The victory is their 21st of the season.

At #1 doubles, freshmen Haleigh Morgus and Emily Hughes played into a tie breaker in a great match but fell 8-7 (9) to the Patriots.

Hahn continued strong play into singles as she defeated George Mason's Maya Hicks, 6-2, 6-1, for her 25th win of the year. With a 2-0 lead for the Greyhounds, the Patriots eased their way back into the match with three singles match victories. At #2 singles, Morgus fell 6-2, 6-2, after putting up a long battle in doubles. Hughes carried her match into a third set against Ashley Delaney but came up short, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Senior captain Hoy played a tough match against opponent Esu Erderebat, as she fell 6-3, 6-3.

Greyhounds' sophomore Ott broke the 3-3 tie and propelled Loyola to victory after being down 3-0 in the third set, defeating Kate Desiatnikova, 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (4).
