BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women's tennis team moved their win streak to four matches as the Greyhounds took down MAAC opponent Manhattan College, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at Butler Courts.
The action started early as Loyola sealed up the doubles point with three straight victories. #1 doubles Haleigh Morgus and Emily Hughes got things underway with a strong 8-4 win over Manhattan's Lili Johnson and Brianna Turano.
In singles play, the Greyhounds finished off a great day as they didn't lose a set in all six matches. Hughes led the team at #3 singles without giving up a point, winning 6-0, 6-0. #4 singles Scarlett Hoy and #5 singles Olivia Ott were close behind by only giving up a combined three points.
The win moves the women's record to 8-2 for the season and 2-1 in the MAAC.
Loyola is back in action on Wednesday as they take on Randolph Macon at Butler Courts. Start time is set for 3 p.m.
