Men's Tennis Travels Home With Victory Over Wagner

BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland men's tennis team makes their way back home after a stiffling 7-0 victory over Wagner College Saturday afternoon.

#1 doubles pair Bobby Gorczakowski and Connor Pietrak led things off for the Greyhounds with a solid 8-0 over the Seahawks. Loyola's Harrison Kunkel and Keishi Goto at #2 doubles and Jordan Kuchta and Greg Olesnycky at #3 doubles only gave up a total of three points in their victories to seal up the early point for the Greyhounds.

Going into singles with a 1-0 lead, senior captain Gorczakowski knocked off Wagner's Christian Grau in three sets, 7-6, 6-7, 7-5. With a 2-0 lead, the Greyhounds never looked back as they won the next five singles matches. Connor Lisco and Greg Olesnycky stood out for the squad, both pulling off 6-0, 6-0 victories.

The win improves the men's record to 9-3 for the season and moves their win streak to four matches.

The team heads home as they take on MAAC opponent Fairfield University Sunday morning. Start time is set for 10 a.m.
