Golf Fifth After Two Rounds Of Marshall Invite

HUNTINGTON, W.V. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team fell to fifth after carding a 9-over 293 on the second round of play at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invite at Guyan Golf and Country Club Monday afternoon.

Freshman Matt Oshrine remained consistent, shooting a pair of 1-under 70s through the two rounds to enter the final round tied for ninth at 2-under 140.

Classmate Connor Flach is tied for 20th after shooting a 2-over 73, while senior Brendan Lemp also shot a 2-over 73 to sit tied for 30th at 4-over 146.

Sophomore Jimmy Dengler is one stroke behind Lemp and tied for 38th with a two-round score of 5-over 147. Junior Brian McCormick rounds out the Greyhounds competing, sitting tied for 80th after shooting an 8-over 79 in the second round.

Richmond's Jack Wilkes and William & Mary's Alex Hicks sit atop the leaderboard with a two-round total of 7-under 135. Richmond leads the teams with a 4-under 564. Cincinnati is second at 2-under 566, while William & Mary is third at 567 and Cleveland State is fourth at 5-over 573.

The Greyhounds will return to the course in the morning for the final round of play.
