BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team will host three events this fall before traveling to Maryland and Penn to close out its fall ball schedule.
Loyola's first event will be its annual Alumnae Game at Ridley Athletic Complex on Friday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. The Greyhounds will follow that up on Sunday, Sept. 29, when they host Michigan (10 a.m.) and Johns Hopkins (12:40 p.m.) in a play day. Duke will then visit Baltimore for a scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m.
A trip to College Park on Sunday, Oct. 13, will pit the Greyhounds against Maryland at 11 a.m., before they face San Diego (1 p.m.) and Rutgers (3 p.m.). Loyola will close out its fall season at Penn on Saturday, Oct. 19. In Philadelphia, the Greyhounds will face Albany at 10:30 a.m., Penn at 11:30 a.m. and Princeton at 1:30 p.m.
Loyola returns 20 letterwinners, including two All-Americans and 10 starters, from a squad that posted an overall record of 11-9 a year ago. The Greyhounds earned an at-large bid to the 2013 NCAA Championships and won its first-round game for the third-straight year, marking the first time in program history that Loyola has accomplished the feat in three-consecutive seasons.
