HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Loyola University Maryland men's soccer team fell to Colgate, 1-0, Saturday afternoon at Beyer-Small '76 Field.

The Greyhounds had a number of opportunities to take the lead, but the Raiders found the back of the net in the 74th minute when Bruno Scodari sent a long ball into the box. Aram Ouligian headed the ball to Tyler Forbes, who one-touched it into the lower right corner of the goal for the game's lone score.

Loyola had a look at goal in the sixth minute, but junior Antony Sare's blast went over the top of the post. Junior Brennan Goldsmith then played a ball into the box to sophomore Brad Warenicz in the 17th minute, but his shot went high, too.

In the 27th minute, the Greyhounds had a 3-vs-2 breakaway situation with Goldsmith carrying the ball up the field. Goldsmith touched the ball to junior Dylan Engel on the right wing, but Ricky Brown made a diving save on Engel's shot attempt.

Following Colgate's goal, in the 81st minute, junior Laurin Vogel played a free kick into the box, but junior David Warburton's header attempt sailed over the top of the goal. Vogel then played another ball into the box with just under three minutes to go, but Brown got ahold of the loose ball to keep the Greyhounds from finding their equalizer.

In goal for Loyola, junior Matt Sanchez finished with seven saves.

The Greyhounds will conclude their season on Saturday, Nov. 7, when they hosts Holy Cross on Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
