Egloff Leads Golfers After One Day Of Wolfpack Fall Invite

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team put together a solid finish to the first round of a cold and windy first day of the Wolfpack Fall Intercollegiate Monday to sit seventh heading into tomorrow's second, and final, round at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

Freshman Morgan Egloff turned in a first-round score of 1-over 72 to sit tied for eighth and four-strokes back of the leaders, Augusta University's Robin Petersson and West Virginia's Max Sear (67, -3).

Sophomore Jeremy Wall is second for Loyola, and tied for 28th overall, with a 3-over 74.

Junior Ethan Wall is one stroke back of his younger brother and tied with classmate Will Wears for 43rd at 5-over 75.

Junior Connor Flach rounds out the Greyhounds with a 6-over 78, placing him in a tie for 64th.

As a team, Loyola sits seventh at 12-over 296.

West Virginia leads the pack and holds a one-stroke lead over Campbell, shooting 5-over 289. Host NC State is third at 8-over 292.

Individually, Petersson and Sear are tied for first, while Western Carolina's Tyler Lail is third at 2-under 69.

The Greyhounds will return to action tomorrow at 8 a.m., for the second and final round.
