BALTIMORE - Bucknell University used a 20-5 run in the second half to lead by double figures and defeat the Loyola University Maryland women's basketball team, 72-61, Wednesday evening in Reitz Arena.

Three players scored in double figures for the Greyhounds, led by junior Colleen Marshall with 14 points. Senior Nai Brown and sophomore Lauren Daugherty each added 10 points, while Marshall and junior Jeneh Perry both grabbed six rebounds.

Loyola (7-19 overall, 5-10 Patriot League) led for more than 15 minutes in the first half, as bigs Daugherty and Perry combined for 14 of the team's 28 first-half points.

Daugherty started the contest hot, blocking three shots in the first four minutes. The Florham Park, New Jersey native recorded eight of the Greyhounds' first 11 points and ended the game with a career-high four blocks against the Bison.

Despite trailing by as much as 10 points with 7:35 left to play in the first half, Bucknell used an 18-2 run to close out the first half with a six-point lead, 34-28.

Both teams traded baskets for the first two minutes of the second half, before Marshall sparked an 8-0 run to give Loyola a 41-38 lead with 14:51 to play.

Bucknell (16-10, 8-7) went on to score 10-unanswered points over the next 11 minutes before Brown pulled Loyola as close as four, 50-46, with 8:42 remaining in the game.

Brown's points were as close as Loyola would come to topping the Bison, as Bucknell used the 20-5 run to close out the contest with an 11-point victory, 72-61.

Loyola travels to Hamilton, New York, on Saturday to face Colgate University at 4 p.m.
