Golfers Complete First Day Of Rod Myers Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team opened its 2016-17 season Saturday at Duke's Rod Myers Invitational at Duke University Golf Club.

Seniors Connor Flach and Ethan Wall lead the Greyhounds after two rounds and sit tied for 52nd heading into tomorrow's final round. The duo each finished the day at 8-over 152, as Wall shot a 79 and 73, respectively, and Flach carded a pair of 76s.

Junior Jeremy Wall is third for Loyola and tied for 62nd after shooting an 80 and 75 for an 11-over 155.

Senior Will Wears is one stroke back of that, and tied for 65th, after shooting a 79 through the first round and a 77 through the second.

Junior Bennett Wisner rounds out the Greyhounds with a 13-over 157. He shot 79 and 78, respectively, to sit tied for 70th.

As a team, Loyola finished the two rounds in 14th place with an aggregate score of 38-over 614.

The Greyhounds will return to the course Sunday morning for the final round of competition. They'll tee off at 7:35 a.m.
