BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland women's soccer, which is down to its final three games of the regular season, heads to Bucknell for a Patriot League matchup at 7 p.m. Wednesday night. The Greyhounds are looking for their first win over the Bison since joining the Patriot League in 2013.

Last Time Out
  • Hannah Hoefs and Kaleigh Gallagher scored 2:23 apart in the opening half, as Loyola overcame an early deficit to secure a vital 2-1 victory over Lafayette on Saturday.
  • The Greyhounds moved into sole possession of second place in the Patriot League standings while the Leopards (6-5-3, 2-2-2) dropped down to sixth. The teams entered the afternoon in a tie for third place.
  • After falling behind 6:51 into the contest, Hoefs leveled the score on a long-distance shot from 30 yards out in the 16th minute.

Series History

  • Bucknell leads 6-3-1 in a series which dates back to 1992.
  • The Bison have won six-straight games since Loyola joined the Patriot League, outscoring the Greyhounds by a margin of 13-2 during that span.
  • Bucknell posted its fourth-straight shutout in the series last season, with a 75th minute goal by Kate Henesey securing a 1-0 win on Sept. 26. Loyola fell despite a 13-10 edge in shots.
  • The Greyhounds' last win over the Bison was a 2-1 triumph on Sept. 30, 2007. Their last victory at Bucknell was in 1993.

About the Bison

  • Hannah Hoefs, a three-time Patriot League Midfielder of the Week this season, was an honorable mention selection after scoring Loyola's opening goal on Saturday.
