LEWISBURG, Pa. –
Ann Ernst became the third Loyola University Maryland player in program history to record 1,500-plus kills in a career on Saturday, but the Greyhounds lost in four to host Bucknell University, 25-27, 25-21, 25-16, 25-16, in Patriot League action.
Â
Ernst had a team-best 21 kills to raise her career total to 1,509, joining Nina Camaoini (1,772, 2007-10) and Becky Corb (1,629, 2002-05) as the only players to pass the milestone. She also became the eighth player in conference history to do so.
Â
Katie Forsythe, meanwhile, had a milestone of her own as she led all players with 23 digs. With 630 this year, she now has the two highest single-season totals in Patriot League history after she set the conference record with 697 last year.

Megan Bukala hit .423 while posting 13 kills.
Â
Sophie Bullard tallied 23 kills while hitting .524 for the Bison; Bucknell hit .354 as a team in the contest.
