Loyola Greyhounds (3-19, 2-9 Patriot League)
• Junior Stephanie Karcz, the 2017-18 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, leads the Greyhounds on defense and is among the Patriot League's leaders in rebounds, steals and assists. With 10.2 rebounds per game, Karcz ranks fourth in the League, while her 3.6 offense rebounds per game is second and her 6.6 defensive rebounds per game is fourth, and her 3.3 assists per game ranks fourth.
• Karcz also leads the League with 4.5 steals per game. With 90 steals this season, she ranks third in the NCAA and sits fourth on Loyola's single-season records. She is on pace to break 100 steals for a second-consecutive season, as she finished last year with 112 steals, which was good for second on Loyola's single-season records.
• With 278 steals, Karcz is second to Katie Sheahin's school record of 347 steals from 2009-13.
• Offensively, sophomore Isabella Therien has led the team with 14.3 points per game. Senior Bri Betz-White is second on the squad with 8.8 points per contest.

American Eagles  (14-8, 10-1 Patriot League)
• American is tied with Bucknell for first in the Patriot League standings, as both teams have posted 10-1 records in League play so far.
• The Eagles' lone loss was to Bucknell, 71-56, on January 3 in the League opener. They have won all 10 of their games since then for a League-best 10-game win streak.
• Cecily Carl, the Patriot League Player of the Week this week, is coming off of three-straight 20-plus point performances and three-straight double-doubles. Exactly one week after her record-breaking 37-point performance at Colgate (Feb. 2), Carl put up 28 points and 10 rebounds in American's 75-62 win over Army West Point Saturday.
• Carl leads the Eagles and ranks third in the Patriot League with 14.6 points per game, while Elina Koskimies ranks eighth in the League with 12.3 points per game.

Series History
• American holds an 20-6 advantage in the all-time series with the Greyhounds.
• Loyola swept the 2015 season meetings, but the Eagles won both of the match-ups in 2016-17 and 2017-18, and were victorious earlier this year at Bender Arena.
• The Greyhounds earned the win in the inaugural meeting, during the 1976-77 season, but American won the next nine-straight games from the 1977-78 season through the 1984-85 season.
• After a 15-year hiatus, the two programs met again in 2001, with Loyola coming out on top of that contest.
• The Greyhounds won the next meeting, in 2003, and ultimately won three of the next five before joining the Patriot League.
• American won the first four meetings once the two squads became conference foes, before Loyola earned its first League win in 2015 and followed it up with a victory in 2016.
• The Eagles have won the five since then.
