LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior
Stephanie Karcz became the Loyola University Maryland women's basketball program's all-time single-season leader in steals and freshman
Taleah Dixon poured in a personal-best 26 points, but the eighth-seeded Greyhounds would not be able to keep up with top-seeded Bucknell, as it fell to the Bison, 88-63, in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Championships Monday night at Sojka Pavilion.

Â
The Greyhounds fell behind early and called their first timeout while facing an 18-6 deficit at the 2:48 mark of the first quarter. Connolly converted an and-1 out of the break and made it a personal 6-0 run with a triple with 55 seconds to go. The Bison answered with their own 3-pointer but junior

Â
Loyola would be unable to carry its momentum into the second quarter though, as Bucknell started the stanza by scoring the first 11 points to pull ahead 32-14. Dixon's and-1 conversion and pair of free throws brought Loyola within 16, at 35-19, but the Bison stretched their lead to as many as 23, at 46-23, before Connolly's free throws moved the halftime score to 46-25.

Â
Entering the fourth with a 65-40 deficit, Loyola would be unable to put together a comeback as it matched the Bison for points, with both team's scoring 23 points in the final 10 minutes.
