• Only one school in the country returned more points than the Greyhounds in 2019, as Jacksonville brought back 415 of its 559 points from the 2018 season. In graduating 153 points from last season, Loyola brings back 375 of its 528 points.
• Loyola is coming off its League-record 44th-straight Patriot League regular-season win Saturday, as the Greyhounds recorded a 21-7 victory over Army West Point in the conference opener. Loyola is 44-0 since joining the League for the 2014 season.
• Entering Wednesday's contest with 313 career draw controls, senior Taylor VanThof is six away from breaking Loyola's all-time career record. Her older sister, Taryn '15, holds the school record at 118 from 2011-15. Taylor already own's Loyola's single game (21 vs. Colgate on April 1, 2017) and single season (146 in 2017) records.
• Just seven games into her sophomore season, Livy Rosenzweig has already cracked into the program's career records for assists, as she's distributed 64. Annie Thomas holds the school record at 148 from 2012-15, while senior Hannah Powers is fourth on the list with 90.
Loyola Greyhounds (4-3, 1-0 Patriot League)
• Livy Rosenzweig, coming off a school-record 102 point freshman season, leads the Greyhounds with 36 points on a team-best 19 goals and 17 assists. Voted the Preseason Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, Rosenzweig has already recorded 5-or-more points through five games, including an 8-point outing (4g, 4a) at No. 4 Syracuse and a 7-point performance (4g, 3a) at No. 25 Towson.
• Senior Hannah Powers is second on the team with 16 goals, nine assists and 25 points. She also sports a team-best 42-game point streak.
• Loyola's midfield unit of sophomore Sam Fiedler (14g, 8a), sophomore Elli Kluegel (10g, 1a) and senior Taylor VanThof (11g, 5a) have combined for 52 points.
• Defensively, senior Lindsey Ehrhardt has 14 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.
• In goal, senior Kady Glynn has posted four double-digit save performances to get the Greyhounds three wins over top-10 foes. Against No. 5 Florida, she turned back 11 shots, while she earned 12 saves against No. 8 Penn State. At No. 25 Towson, she recorded a season-best 15 saves, just three shy of her career high, and she followed it up with 10 saves at No. 5 Virginia for her third-straight double-digit save game.
Georgetown Hoyas (5-3, 0-0 BIG EAST)
• Taylor Gebhardt leads the Hoyas with 27 points, scoring 18 goals to go with nine assists, while Francesca Whitehurst has a team-best 13 assists and Morgan Ryan has a team-best 19 goals. Whitehurst is second with 26 points and Ryan is third with 19.
• Natalia Lynch leads the team with 32 draw controls and 17 ground balls. She's tied for third on the team with 19 points on 15 goals and four assists.
• Haelle Chomo has played 409 minutes in goal and is posting a 9.51 GAA and .414 save percentage.
Series History
• In winning the last five meetings, Loyola pulled ahead 11-9 in the all-time series.
• The two squads first met in 1977, with Loyola capturing four-straight victories from 1977-81 by a combined score of 66-7, including a 20-0 shutout victory in 1981.
• Georgetown claimed its first win in 2001, when the Hoyas knocked the Greyhounds out of the NCAA Semifinals, 10-9.
• The former BIG EAST foes renewed their rivalry in 2006 when Loyola joined the league and the two have met every year since, with 11 of those 15 contests being decided by three goals-or-less and three needing overtime to determine a winner.
