Wilson, Ehrhardt Earn Patriot League Weekly Awards

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After helping the 11th-ranked Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team to a pair of wins last week, senior Lindsey Ehrhardt and freshman Jillian Wilson have been named the Patriot League Defensive and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the League office Monday.

Ehrhardt, a defender from Westbury, New York, picks up her third weekly award of the season after finishing the week with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. In a 13-10 mid-week win over No. 22 Georgetown, Ehrhardt held her personal matchup, Francesca Whitehurst – who was just named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, without a goal, while she finished with three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the contest. She then helped Loyola limit Lehigh to just 15 shots in the Greyhounds' 13-6 win, even though the Mountain Hawks entered the contest averaging 25.75 shots per game.

Wilson, a midfielder from Hampstead, Maryland, earns her first collegiate weekly award after leading the Greyhounds with seven goals last week. Wilson posted her first collegiate hat trick in the first 15 minutes of the mid-week contest with the nationally ranked Hoyas, scoring three of the Greyhounds' first five goals to get them a 5-1 lead at the 15:28 mark. She then topped that against Lehigh, scoring on all four shots she took to move her personal-best to four goals.

Loyola will be back in action this week with a road game at American on Wednesday (4 p.m.), before returning home to host Boston University on Sunday at 1 p.m.
