CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse senior
Kady Glynn has been named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the second-straight week, as announced by the League office Monday.
Glynn sparked the Greyhounds' win over No. 8 Penn State on Saturday by making 12 saves in a 13-8 win. The performances marked Glynn's 14th double-digit save game, while the eight goals scored are the least for the Nittany Lions since a loss at Maryland in April 2018.
With seven first-half saves, including two in the final 30 seconds of the half, Glynn helped send the Greyhounds into the locker room with a 7-3 advantage. She then stopped five shots in the second half and wouldn't let Penn State come any closer than two goals, en route to her second top-10 win of the season.
With the addition of a 15-11 mid-week loss at No. 4 Syracuse, Glynn finished the week with 21 saves and a .512 save percentage.
Loyola will return to action on Wednesday when it travels to No. 25 Towson. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
