Wilson, Ehrhart Repeat As Patriot League Player Of The Week Selections

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - For the second-consecutive week, senior Lindsey Ehrhardt and freshman Jillian Wilson have been named the Patriot League Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the League office Monday.
 
Wilson had six goals and two assists for eight points, to go with seven ground balls and five caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Greyhounds. She had two goals, two assists, two ground balls and one caused turnover in a 17-9 win at American on Wednesday, while she followed it up with four goals, five ground balls and four caused turnovers in a 21-7 victory over Boston University on Sunday.
 
This marks the second career weekly award for Wilson, who's fourth on the team in goals (18) and points (24) this season.
 
Ehrhardt earns her League-best fourth Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award after helping the Greyhounds' defense hold its opponents to 8.0 goals per game last week. At American, she held the Eagles' Kendall Goldblum without a point, while she also picked up a career-high six ground balls and had three caused turnovers in the game. Against Boston University, she caused two more turnovers while helping the defense hold the Terriers to seven goals, including one in the second half, even though they entered the contest averaging 13.91.
 
For the season, Ehrhardt ranks third in the Patriot League and 18th nationally with 2.09 caused turnovers per game. She's also second on the team with 25 ground balls this year.
 
Loyola will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts No. 12 Navy at 3 p.m.
