BALTIMORE – A record Loyola University Maryland student-athletes finished the Fall 2019 with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average as Greyhounds student-athletes continued to break records in the classroom during the semester.
A total of 204 student-athletes (48 percent), more than any before, were named to the Loyola Dean's List during the semester, and 293 finished with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Greyhounds finished the fall with a combined GPA of 3.430, bring the Greyhounds' cumulative GPA to 3.384.
"Our student-athletes continued to thrive in the classroom during the fall semester.," said
Colleen Campbell, Loyola's director of student-athlete support services. "They put a tremendous amount of time into their academics, and this is a great reward to see it pay off for them. Without the support of faculty, staff, coaches and administrators, these achievements would not have been possible."
Loyola's women's tennis checked in with the highest cumulative and falls semester with totals of 3.70 and 3.706, respectively. Five men's soccer seniors graduated from Loyola in December, completing their studies in 3-1/2 years.
