HUNT VALLEY, Md. – Kristi Korrow, a key member of four Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse NCAA tournament teams in the early 2000's, was inducted into the Greater Baltimore Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame at a ceremony on Saturday night.
Korrow has coached at Delaney High School since her graduation from Loyola in 2004. She holds an overall record of 130-52 while leading the program to Maryland state championships in 2005, 2006 and 2016.
As a player, the Greyhounds tallied a record of 61-15 during her four years on campus, advancing to the Final Four in both 2001 and 2003. Loyola was the No. 1 ranked team in the country for a majority of the 2003 season, the final under legendary head coach Diane Geppi-Aikens, ultimately finishing 17-2 and leading the nation in scoring defense. Korrow was the team leader in both draw controls and ground balls that spring.
Korrow ended her collegiate career with 164 ground balls (sixth in team history), 79 draw controls, 49 caused turnovers and 25 points (14 G, 11 A). She was a two-year team captain and was voted as Most Dedicated Player her senior season.
Prior to joining Loyola, Korrow earned four letters in lacrosse and soccer and two in indoor track at Mercy High School in Baltimore. She won the school's Sportswoman of the Year as a senior, was named a two-time All-City/County All-Star by the Baltimore Sun and was chosen as Best Offensive Player in 2000.
A total of eight honorees made up the Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Korrow was joined by Steve Marohl, Elizabeth Martin, James Tucker Radebaugh, Sarah Oglesby Slomkowski, Rebecca Trumbo-Groves, James Wilson Ulman and Drew Westervelt.
