BOSTON – Four Loyola University Maryland men's basketball players scored 12 or more points, and a fifth finished with nine, but Boston University finished with a 92-77 Patriot League victory on Wednesday night in Case Gymnasium.

Boston University (12-10 overall, 6-3 Patriot League) went up 10 in the game's first five minutes thanks to a 9-0 run, but threes on consecutive possessions by Kostecka brought the deficit to four, 18-14, for Loyola (9-13, 1-8).
A
Kenneth Jones three with 9:54 left in the first half made it a 25-20 Boston University lead, and Kostecka knocked down two free throws to pull Loyola within a possession, 25-22, moments later.
The Terriers, however, used a 10-2 run in which Mahoney scored six, to push the lead back to double-digits; they would lead 44-34 at halftime.
Loyola immediately got within seven on an Andrews three to start the second half, but a McCoy three at 18:16 pushed the Terriers' advantage back to 13.
The lead stayed at 12 or higher until two Dike free throws with 4:34 left cut it to 78-68.
A Kostecka steal and dunk with 1:26 on the clock had the margin at 10 once again, 85-75, but it was the last field goal the Greyhounds would have in the game.
Andrews and Scott tied for the team-lead with seven rebounds, and Hart had a game-high six assists.
