Seventy-five Loyola University Maryland student-athletes were among more than 1,100 undergraduate and graduate students who had their degrees conferred this morning in a livestreamed ceremony from the university's Alumni Memorial Chapel.
Rev. Brian F. Linnane, S.J., president of Loyola, celebrated the culmination of the student's academic accomplishments at Loyola with the students and their families. The university continues to plan toward an in-person Commencement ceremony for its 2020 graduates at a later date.
A total of 73 student-athletes earned their bachelor's degrees, while
Lindsay Gamer (women's lacrosse) and
Ashley Hunter (women's basketball) also earned their master's degrees. Two athletic department staff members also celebrated during the conferral of their graduate degrees:
Ellie Kenny (administrative assistant) and
Brian Schultz (assistant director of athletics/director of athletic development).
