BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its major award winners and all-conference honorees for men's soccer on Friday afternoon, with Loyola University Maryland heavily represented after once again topping the regular season standings.

Chase Vosvick earned Goalkeeper of the Year accolades, becoming the first player in conference history to receive four major awards in his storied career. Justin Ingram also repeated as Midfielder of the Year, while Steve Nichols was voted as Coach of the Year for a fourth time in six seasons.

Vosvick and Ingram were joined by Jordy Luchies and Kelan Swales as first team All-Patriot League performers, and Jacob Denison took home third team honors for a second-straight season. The Greyhounds (9-6-2, 7-2-0 PL) clinched their fourth-straight regular season championship with a 1-0 win at Bucknell on Wednesday, and they outscored opponents 10-0 during a five-game winning streak to end the conference schedule.

Wednesday's victory included a major career milestone for Vosvick, as he became the Patriot League's all-time leader in shutouts after recording his 28th career clean sheet. Vosvick moved ahead of Adam Edwards, who played at Bucknell from 2002-05. He has tallied a career-high eight shutouts so far this season (tied for sixth in Division I), and he also played 109 out of 110 minutes in a scoreless draw at then-No. 5 West Virginia in September.

Vosvick is 9-5-1 overall on the year with a 0.90 goals-against average and .729 save percentage. Against conference opponents, he holds a microscopic 0.47 GAA with a .810 save percentage, and he enters the postseason on a 273:03 scoreless streak.

Ingram earns a second-straight Midfielder of the Year award after ranking among the conference leaders in goals (6), assists (9) and points (21). His nine assists are tied for seventh nationally, while his 21 points are second in the conference and 44th in Division I. Ingram has recorded multiple points in 8 of 16 appearances on the year, including a season-best four-point effort (1 G, 2 A) in a 3-0 win over defending Patriot League champions American. A three-time Midfielder of the Week this fall, he added a goal and an assist in victories over UC Irvine, Lehigh and Boston University.

Nichols, whose staff includes assistants Jamie Darvill, Jesse Haislip and Matt Little, is voted by his peers as the conference's Coach of the Year for a fourth time after he was previously recognized three-straight seasons from 2016-18. The Greyhounds have been among the Patriot League leaders throughout the past six years, topping the standings in each of the past four fall campaigns, winning the South division during the COVID-impacted Spring 2021 campaign and beginning their run as contenders with a second-place showing in 2016. Loyola is 37-13-5 overall against conference opponents during the past six seasons under Nichols, a 1992 Loyola graduate who rejoined the program as head coach in 2014.

Swales repeats as a first team All-Patriot League selection after leading the Greyhounds and ranking third in the conference with seven goals on the year. He is also second on the team in both assists (4) and points (18). Swales had a pair of five-point games in 3-0 wins over William & Mary and Colgate, and he posted game-winning goals in conference victories over Colgate, Lehigh and Boston U. Swales has 22 points (7 G, 8 A) in 23 career games at Loyola after joining as a transfer from Appalachian State last summer.

Luchies made an immediate impact in his debut collegiate season, anchoring a Loyola backline which surrendered just four goals in conference play. The only player to start all 17 games, he has logged a team-high 1502 minutes while helping the Greyhounds record nine regular season shutouts for the first time since 2008. Luchies played every minute at center back in 12 of 17 contests, and he added his first collegiate point after assisting on Jonathan Sousa's key game-winning strike against Army last weekend.

Denison also played a key role in Loyola's defensive success. He returned to the starting lineup in late September after a brief stint as a reserve, ultimately starting 12 games this fall and helping the Greyhounds shutout the opposition in eight of those 12 starts. A five-year contributor to the program, Denison has earned starts in 52 of 63 career appearances. He earned his first Defensive Player of the Week award on Oct. 18 after leading the backline in shutouts over American and Navy.

Loyola will make its sixth-straight appearance in the Patriot League semifinals next Tuesday, hosting either No. 4 Lehigh, No. 5 Navy or No. 6 Army West Point in a 7 p.m. matchup at Ridley Athletic Complex.
