The Matchup

  • Loyola women's lacrosse, which is ranked tied for 14th in the IWLCA Coaches' poll and 19th in the ILWomen media poll, opens up the Patriot League portion of its schedule with a 12 p.m. home contest against American this Saturday.

  • Livy Rosenzweig matched a career-high with nine points, including a career-best six goals, and Sam Fiedler added seven points in an 18-6 win for Loyola at Villanova on Wednesday.
  • Five of Rosenzweig's goals came in the second half, as the Greyhounds outscored the Wildcats (1-2) by a 9-1 margin to break open what had been a four-goal game at the intermission.
  • Jillian Wilson contributed a career-high five points (2 G, 3 A) and four draw controls, while Elli Kluegel totaled two goals, two assists, a career-high five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
  • Fiedler finished with five goals and a pair of assists, as her seven points were one shy of last year's career-high established in a victory at Florida.

  • Eight different Greyhounds managed at least one point in the victory. Rosenzweig, Emily Wills, Liz Scott and Emily Beier all scored their first goals of the season.
  • Fiedler has scored 3+ goals in all three games on the year. Her 11 goals overall are tied for first in the Patriot League and are tied for 25th nationally.
