The Matchup

  • Loyola women's lacrosse, which is ranked 14th in the IWLCA Coaches' poll and 18th in the ILWomen media poll welcomes Georgetown to Ridley Athletic Complex.
  • Aside from last year's meeting, which was cancelled due to COVID-19, the two teams have faced off in every season dating back to 2006.

Last Time Out

  • Livy Rosenzweig recorded six of her game-high seven points in the first half, as Loyola raced out to a 15-3 advantage at the intermission before ultimately securing a 21-4 home victory over American in the Patriot League opener for both sides on Saturday.
  • Eleven different players scored for the Greyhounds, whose 15 goals were the program's most in a half since they also had 15 in a win over Lafayette back on April 22, 2017.
  • Sam Fiedler (3 G, 1 A) supplied four points, and she also led the way with three ground balls and a career-high three caused turnovers.
  • Emily Wills scored a season-high three goals, Katie Detwiler had a career-best seven draw controls and Holly Lloyd added her second-straight three-assist game.
  • Loyola led 17-13 in ground balls, 32-14 in shots and 19-8 in draw controls.

2-0 Week Leads to Four Patriot League Awards

  • Livy Rosenzweig (Attacker), Sam Fiedler (Midfielder), Katie Detwiler (Defender) and Kaitlyn Larsson (Goalkeeper) all received Patriot League weekly awards on Monday after a 2-0 week in which the Greyhounds outscored their opponents 39-10.
  • Rosenzweig had a team-high 16 points (10 G, 6 A) in the two wins. At 144 career assists, she is just four away from matching Annie Thomas '15 for the program record.

Matched up against American's Emma Vinall on Saturday, an ILWomen honorable mention Preseason All-American and the NCAA leader in goals scored last season, she limited Vinall to one point (0 G, 1 A) to snap a 17-game goal scoring streak.
  • Larsson finished the week with 14 saves, a 5.22 goals-against average and a .583 save percentage. Her .600 save percentage vs. American was a new season-high.
  • Fiedler totaled 11 points (8 G, 3 A) in the victories and has a team-high 14 G through four games.
