No. 11 Women’s Lacrosse Rolls Past Bucknell on Senior Day

BALTIMORE – Livy Rosenzweig became the third in team history to reach 300 career points, Emily Wills notched a season-high six points and Liz Scott recorded her first collegiate hat trick on her Senior Day as Loyola University Maryland posted a dominant 20-3 victory over Bucknell at Ridley Athletic Complex on Friday night.

The Greyhounds (8-2, 5-0 PL) won their eighth in a row and completed a season sweep of the Bison (3-4, 3-3 PL). Eleven different Loyola players scored in the victory.

Rosenzweig's milestone point was her fourth of the evening, an unassisted goal just over three minutes into the second half. She had two goals, three assists and six draw controls overall, and at 301 career points is now 17 away from surpassing Hannah Powers for the all-time program record.

Sam Fiedler and Jillian Wilson both scored twice in a 7-0 Loyola run to begin the contest. After the Bison got on the scoreboard with 9:16 left in the first half, Wills scored three goals and set up Scott's first of the evening to make it 11-1 heading into the intermission.

The Greyhounds maintained a consistent offensive attack over the final 30 minutes, outshooting Bucknell 17-4 after the break while reaching the 20-goal marker for a third time this season.

Wills finished with four goals and two assists, while Meg Hillman (2 G), Alanna Wray, Sydni Black, Regan Kielmeyer and Anna Ruby also scored off the bench. Elli Kluegel added one goal, one assist and a team-high three caused turnovers.

Scott, Emily Beier, Cat Crowley, Caitlyn Gunn, Holly Lloyd and Meaghan Quinn were each recognized in a pregame ceremony on their Senior Day, with Crowley making her first collegiate start on the backline.

Loyola had a 16-8 edge in draw controls, led by Rosenzweig, Katie Detwiler (5) and Wilson (4). Kaitlyn Larsson added eight saves while surrendering just one goal in her 39:30 minutes of game action.

The Greyhounds remain in prime position to host the Patriot League tournament, which begins with semifinal matchups on Thursday, May 8. Their next regular season opponent will be announced on LoyolaGreyhounds.com as that information becomes available.
