Box Score Easton, PA -- The Loyola Greyhounds women's soccer team traveled to face the Lafayette Leopards on Saturday afternoon. Despite out-shooting the Leopards 11-4, the Greyhounds lost their first Patriot League game of the season 1-0. 

In the first half, both teams had their chances at goal, as the Greyhounds out-shot the Leopards 5-4 in the half, with 3 of the 5 Greyhounds shots be on target. Despite this, Lafayette managed to find the back of the net, as the Leopards took a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute, and found themselves with a 1-0 lead at halftime. 

In the second half, the Greyhounds were the aggressors on the offensive end, as they out-shot them 6-0 in the second half. The Greyhounds had a couple of chances from Kelly Hutton and Sarah Mirr late, but could not find the back of goal. Despite the sharp shot advantage in the second half and holding Lafayette to 0 second half shots, the Greyhounds could not find the back of the net, as the Leopards shut-out the Greyhounds. 

Paige Sim had just 1 save and only faced 4 shots in the game. Baylee DeSmit had 5 shots on the afternoon as well. 

The Greyhounds will be back home next Saturday when they host Holy Cross at 2:00 PM for Senior Day.
