Box Score Lewisburg, PA -- The Loyola Greyhounds women's soccer team traveled to face the Bucknell Bison on Wednesday night. It what was a battle of two of the Patriot League's best, the teams battled to a 0-0 draw.
In the first half, both teams had their fair share of chances on net, as the Bison out-shot the Greyhounds 6-4 in the first half. But despite that, the Greyhounds had more chances on goal, as the Greyhounds had 3 shots on goal, to just 2 on goal for the Bison. Both teams found themselves with good chances, but ultimately could not find the back of the net.
Paige Sim made a diving save in the 21st minute, to keep the game scoreless, as teams were tied 0-0 at half.
In the second half, both teams both continued to find ways to get attacking chances as it was an exciting back and forth second half. Both teams once again had several looks on net, as both teams had 5 shots on goal, but both goalkeepers had other thoughts, as they made diving save, after diving save.
Baylee DeSmit had a couple of great shots on goal in the half, but the Bisons goalie made two great saves. Despite two late scrambles off of corner kicks, the Greyhounds battled to a 0-0 tie.
Paige Sim had 7 saves on the night, in her 8th shutout of the season.
The Greyhounds will be back in action this Saturday, as they travel to face Lehigh.
