A Terriers Penalty Kick Goal Proves to Be the Difference as the Greyhounds Lose 1-0

Box Score Baltimore, MD -- The Loyola Greyhounds men's soccer team hosted the Boston Terriers on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day. The Terriers would convert on a second half penalty kick, that would be the lone goal, as they Greyhounds lost 1-0.

In the first half, both teams had their chances on goal, as teams were tied 5-5 on shots, with Boston holding the advantage with 3 shots on target. But the Greyhounds defense held up, as they held the Terriers scoreless in the first half.

To begin the second half, the Terriers found their best opportunity of the day, as they scored on a penalty kick in the 49th minute, after the Greyhounds were called for a handball inside the box. For the remainder of the half, the Greyhounds were the aggressors, as they out-shot the Terriers 7-2 in the half. The Greyhounds had several good looks on net, but could not convert, as they lost to Boston, 1-0.

Jahvar Stephenson got his first start of his career for the Greyhounds, as the freshman played all 90 minutes. Loc San added a solid 64 minutes off the bench, and led the team with 4 shots. Alex Bobocea added 4 saves on the day, on 7 shots faced.
