PHILADELPHIA – The men's freshman four took fourth out of 22 entries in its race on Saturday, leading the Greyhounds at the Head of the Schuylkill.
Loyola's boat of Chris Engelbert, Sam Hoerning, Logan Lyle, Tobas Ensor and coxswain Meilyn Frank finished in 13:24.690 for the Greyhounds' best result of the day.
Two of the men's team's other boats had top-10 finishes, as well, at the event. The men's top varsity four entry –
Frederich Lightner, Max Greer, Joseph Arvelo, Eoin McDonough and coxswain Kat An – was eighth out of 43 teams in 13:12.187, while the top varsity eight – Engelbert,
Guillermo Diaz, Arvelo, Greer, Lightner, Hoerning, Ensor, McDonough and coxswain Joseph Signund – took ninth out of 25 in 12:02.680.
The top varsity eight had the women's team's top finish on Saturday as

The women's novice four – Anna Schiller, Cassidy Garcia, Valentina Masi, Adriana Leszczynski and coxswain Callista van Syckel – was 18
th of 22 in 18:37.599, an the varsity four –

Anna Kelley,
Emma McCann and coxswain
Megan Gallucci – raced to a 42
nd-place finish in 16:29.627.
Loyola's second varsity eight on the men's side – Matteo Mood, Matt Smith,
Jack Quinones,
Salvri Manalansan, Lyle, Nick Carrieri, Ben Sala, Devon Sangirgio and An – was 28
th in 13:09.970.
The women's second varsity eight – Grace Gola, Kylie Doyle,
Maura Budd,
Samantha Walsh,
Erin Megill, Evy Ryan, Grace Dwan, Hanscom and Frank – took 41
st in 15:00.287.
Joey Odorisio,
Gil Carlson, Jack Woelper, Perry Schutt and coxswain Mariam Wade competed as the men's varsity four and took 42
nd in 15:58.231.
Loyola continues its fall competition on Saturday, November 5, at the Head of the Occoquan in Northern Virginia.
