The Matchup
- The Greyhounds begin postseason play on Sunday, as they travel to face Boston in the Patriot League Championships Quarterfinal. 
- This will be the 13th meeting between the two programs, with the Terriers hold an 8-1-3 record over the Greyhounds. The teams met on October 22nd, where the Terriers won 3-1.

Last Time Out
- The Greyhounds hosted the American Eagles on Wednesday night. 
- The Eagles scored early in the first half, as they found the back of the net off of a Greyhounds miss-hit. 
- The Greyhounds were the aggressors offensively in the fist half, as they out-shot the Eagles 11-3 in the first half. - Despite the large number of shots, they trailed 1-0 at halftime. 
- In the second half, the Greyhounds finally broke through, as Baylee DeSmit buried a free kick to tie it at 1-1.
- Shortly after however, the Eagles took the lead once again, as they scored on a penalty kick. 
- The Greyhounds had several opportunities down the stretch, but could not find the equalizer as they lost 2-1. 

Key Returners and Newcomers
- The Greyhounds will return a strong core from last years team, as there will be 9 members of the team that tallied at least 10 starts last season. 
- This group is led by Preseason Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, Paige Sim, who started all 18 games last season.
- The Greyhounds also return Sarah Mirr, Chloe Kuminkoski, Alex Searing, and Gillian Borton who all also started all 18 games last season. 
- Three of the top four scorers from last years team also return in Baylee DeSmit (4 goals, 1 assist), Sarah Mirr (3 goals, 3 assists), and Ada Clare Tempert (3 goals, 1 assist).
- Other notable returners for the Greyhounds are seniors MK Barnes, Lea Kristjansdottir, and junior Kelly Hutton
- On top of the deep returners for the Greyhounds, they also brought in a talented freshman class, as they brought in 5 freshman to bolster their roster, and also brought in sophomore transfer Michaela Virgin, who comes to Loyola after a year at NC State.

Where They Stand In The Patriot League
- Paige Sim currently is second in the conference in saves (67), 3rd in saves per game (4.19), and is first in shutouts (8). 
- Baylee DeSmit is tied for first in the conference in goals (6), first in points (19), tied for second in game-winning goals (3), and second in assists (7).
- Olivia Quaranta is tied for fourth in the league in assists (4). 

Scouting Boston
- The Terriers come into the matchup with an 10-8 (6-3) record on the season. They clinced the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Championship.
- They are coming into the matchup off of a 3-2 loss to Army, who won the regular season championship.
- Morgan Fagan leads the team with 6 goals, which is tied for the conference lead. 
- Abigail McNulty and Jenna Oldham are tied for the team lead with 4 assists this year. 
- Celia Bruan has started 14 games in goal, and has 30 saves and an 1.13 GAA. Gretchen Bennett has played in 16 games, with 4 starts, tallying 22 saves and an 1.60 GAA.

- Paige Sim was named the 2021 Goalkeeper of the Year and earned 1st Team All-Conference nods, and has followed that up as being named the Patriot League Preseason Player of the Year, as well as being named to the Preseason All-Patriot League team.

- Paige Sim has recorded 6 or more saves in 6 of the 17 games this season, including a career-high 9 against Rice.
