The Matchup
- The Greyhounds remain on the road, as they travel to face the Bryant Bulldogs on Monday night. 
- This will be the first meeting between the two programs on Monday evening. 

Last Time Out
- The Greyhounds traveled to face the George Mason Patriots on Saturday afternoon. 
- The Greyhounds found themselves in a tight battle throughout the game, as the Patriots led most of the game, but the Greyhounds kept it close throughout. 
- Taleah Dixon had a career day for the Greyhounds with 28 points on the day, as she was a key reason why the Greyhounds could keep it close. 
- The Greyhounds made a rally in the fourth quarter, as back-to-back baskets from Dixon and Therien got their deficit down to four points. 
- From there, the teams traded three-pointers, followed by a pair of Dixon free throws to trail by just two points with 5:05 remaining in the fourth. 
- From there however, the Greyhounds offense went cold as the Patriots took advantage. 
- The Patriots closed out the game on a 9-3 run, as they went on to win 66-58. 

Looking Ahead
- The Greyhounds be back at home after Thanksgiving, as they will host Delaware State on Satuday afternoon. 
- They will then host Toledo on November 30, before traveling to face Mount St. Mary's on December 3.

Scouting Bryant
- The Bulldogs come into the matchup with an 2-2 record, with wins coming against Dartmouth and Emerson.   
- Mariona Planes Fortuny leads the team with 11.3 points per game, as Alana Perkins is averaging 10.3 points. 
- Kemari Reynolds leads the team with 4.7 assists per game, while Marta Neira Martinez leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game.
- The Bulldogs are currently averaging 67.0 points per game on 41.6% shooting. 
- Bryant was picked to finish tied for seventh place in the America East preseason poll, as they received 21 points, tied with New Hampshire for seventh. Only UMBC received fewer votes in the preseason poll. 
- The Bulldogs come off a 2021-22 season that they finished 10-22, but had a upset run to the Northeast Conference Championship game, where they upset the No. 1 and 2 seed. 

Therien Named to Patriot League Preseason Team
- Lex Therien was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League team prior to the start of the year.
- The sophomore forward made a big splash her freshman year, as she averaged 12.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. 
- She finished ninth in the Patriot League in scoring and finished first in rebounds per game. 
- She was named Rookie of the Year and named to the All-League Second Team

Key Returners
- Taleah Dixon and Devyne Newman will return to the Greyhounds as fifth year graduate students. 
- Dixon started all 29 games and  was second on the team as she averaged 10.6 points per game, while averaged 2.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists. 
- Newman started in 16 of 27 games played last season, averaging 19.6 minutes per game. 
- She averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. 
- Emma Glezen, Caramina Tanedo, Laura Salmeron, Bri Rozzi, Ava Therien and Lex Therien cap off the rest of the returners for the Greyhounds.

Worth Noting
- Lex Therien currently ranks 9th in the country in rebounds per game as she is currently averaging 12.2 rebounds. She also ranks third in the Patriot League in points per game, first in rebounds per game, and has the second most steals. 
- The Greyhounds held 12 opponents to 60 points or less during the 2021-22 season. 
- Lex Therien is the first player to be named to the Preseason All-Conference Team since 2018-19. 
- The Greyhounds team this year features three international players, all coming over from Spain. 
- Coach O'Banion comes into her second year after seeing a 5-win improvement during her first year with the team. 
- Loyola's 63-57 win over UMBC last year was the program's first victory after trailing by 14+ points in the second half since Feb. 10, 2012 vs. Iona (66-60).
