BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland made just 12 field goals on Saturday night and fell to Mount St. Mary's University, 51-34, at Knott Arena.
Combined, the teams made only 30, shooting 31.9-percent from the field.
Chris Kuzemka and
Deon Perry each scored nine fo the Greyhounds, and
Golden Dike had nine rebounds.
Things started slow with the Mountaineers leading 11-6 at the 10-minute mark of the first half.
Kuzemka scored on a layup that made it 13-10 Mount St. Mary's with 5:49 to go in the half, but that was the last points for Loyola in the opening period. The Mountaineers would score the next 11 and lead 24-10 at the break.
Loyola will return to Reitz Arena on Tuesday night after finishing a stretch of six of seven on the road. The Greyhounds host UMBC in a 7 p.m. game.
