BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team was picked as the unanimous preseason favorite in the Patriot League, while the Greyhounds also swept the four major preseason awards and placed a league-best six players on the 16-member Preseason All-Patriot League Team, as announced by the League office Wednesday.Â

Detwiler, the 2021 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, has started all 41 games throughout her collegiate career and earned All-Patriot League honors each of her three seasons. A two-time All-American, Detwiler has consistently shut down opponents' top attackers. She was named a Preseason All-American by both US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse this season, and has collected 54 ground balls, 28 caused turnovers and 64 draw controls throughout her career.Â
Fiedler was tabbed the top-returning midfielder after picking up all-region and all-conference honors a year ago, despite missing the final five games due to injury. Named an All-American as a junior, Fiedler has been one of the team's top-two goal scorers each of the last three seasons. Throughout her career, she's scored 134 goals, which ranks 35th in Patriot League history, and has a .641 shot percentage. Â
Larsson was named the 2021 Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year after holding opponents to single digit scoring in 10 of 12 victories. She finished the season ranked fourth in the NCAA in goals-against average (8.55) and 11th in save percentage (.491). The two-time All-Patriot League selection has collected 235 saves throughout her career and has posted a .528 save percentage, while her 7.94 career goals-against average ranks fifth in Loyola history.Â
Rosenzweig, the 2021 Patriot League Attacker of the Year, enters her final season as a three-time All-Patriot League selection and the League's all-time leader in career assists (184). She also ranks fourth in the Patriot League in career points (328), 28th in career goals (144) and fifth in career draw controls (285). A two-time Tewaaraton Award Top 25 semifinalist and three-time IWLCA All-American, Rosenzweig picked up a pair of Preseason All-America second-team honors from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine this year.
Kluegel was named the Patriot League's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year last year after earning her first All-Patriot League honor. She led the Greyhounds with 30 ground balls a season ago and was second on the team with 32 goals and 14 caused turnovers. She brings a 13-game scoring streak into her final season to go with 126 career points, 111 goals, 72 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers.Â
Wilson picked up first-team All-Patriot League honors a year ago after ranking third on the team with 43 points (26 goals, 17 assists). She also led the team with 20 caused turnovers and was second with 65 draw controls and 22 ground balls. Wilson has started all 41 games throughout her career, and has contributed 72 goals, 27 assists, 99 points, 51 ground balls, 118 draw controls and 42 caused turnovers.Â
The Greyhounds will open their 2022 season at Johns Hopkins on Feb. 19, while their home opener is scheduled for Feb. 23 against Towson.Â
