Loyola Greyhounds (1-0, 0-0 Patriot League)
• The Greyhounds return nine starters from a team that went 12-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
• Loyola's top-five scorers from last season return, including Tewaaraton Award Watch List honoree Livy Rosenzweig, who dished out 50 assists to rank second in the NCAA with 3.33 per game. Rosenzweig's 83 points ranked ninth nationally at 5.53 per game.
• Against Hopkins, Rosenzweig led all players with game-highs in goals (4), assists (2) and points (6), and the Greyhounds won 14 of the 16 draw controls taken by Rosenzweig. She was named the Patriot League Attacker of the Week this week.
• Jillian Wilson is one of the Greyhounds' top five returning scorers and she notched her 100th career point with her first of two goals at Hopkins. She also won a career-high 11 draw controls against the Blue Jays and was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week.
• Sam Fiedler, Elli Kluegel and Emily Wills round out the top-five returning scorers from last season. Rosenzweig, Wilson, Fiedler and Kluegel were all named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team, in addition to Katie Detwiler and Kaitlyn Larsson.
• Detwiler earned Patriot League Defender of the Week accolades after holding Shelby Harrison scoreless in the season opener. One of only seven defenders named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, Detwiler returns to anchor a defense that gave up just 129 goals last year to rank sixth nationally (8.60 scoring defense).

Series History with Towson
• Loyola leads the all-time series with Towson 35-13, but the Tigers won the most recent meeting, 13-7 in Towson in 2021.
• The two local rivals first met in 1973 and have met every year since 1977.
• Towson won the first seven match-ups before the Greyhounds recorded their first two wins, in 1981 and 1982. The Tigers' 4-3 postseason victory in 1982 saw the two squads split that season's meetings, but that would be Loyola's last loss until the 2008 season, as it won 25-straight during that time.
• The two teams traded wins from 2008-13 with each team winning on the road.
• In the last 10 meetings, Loyola's leads 6-4.
Up Next
• The Greyhounds will have a week before their next game, as they travel to No. 19 Penn on Wednesday, March 2 for a 5 p.m. contest.
