Series History with Penn
• Loyola's all-time series with Penn dates back to 1983, with the Greyhounds leading, 17-4.
• The two programs met 19 times from 1983 through 2005 before taking a brief hiatus. They met again in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament, a 10-9 overtime victory for the Greyhounds, before resuming the regular-season series in 2020.
• Loyola came out on top of that matchup, 19-15, at Franklin Field.

Last Meeting
• Then-No. 4 Loyola outscored No. 9 Penn, 12-8, in the second half to break a 7-7 halftime score en route to a 19-15 win at Franklin Field on March 7, 2020.
• Then-freshman Emily Wills led all players with eight points on three goals and five assists, while then-junior Sam Fiedler scored a game-high five goals.
• Of the 19 goals and 26 points Loyola recorded in the game, the Greyhounds return all but one of those goals and points. In addition to Wills and Fiedler, Elli Kluegel and Jillian Wilson scored four times and Livy Rosenzweig added two goals and two assists.
• Loyola returns eight starters from that 2020 team, including defenders Katie Detwiler and Shay Clevenger, who collected six ground balls and caused two turnovers, and Kaitlyn Larsson in goal. Larsson had 12 saves in the win.
• Penn returns four starters from their 2020 squad; attacker Taylyn Stadler, defenders Izzy Rohr and Ellen O'Callaghan and goalkeeper Krissy Kowalski.
• The game also marked the first time that Rosenzweig faced her older sister, Gabby. The two sisters were both 2019 IWLCA All-Americans and 2020 Tewaaraton Award Watch List honorees. Gabby, an All-American attacker, concluded her time at Penn in 2020 as the program's career points, single season points and single season assists record holder, before playing her fifth year at Duke in 2021.

Up Next
• Loyola will face a second-straight team from Pennsylvania on Saturday when it hosts Penn State at noon.
