• The Greyhounds have opened their 50th season of women's lacrosse with five-straight wins.
• Livy Rosenzweig is one point shy of 350. With 349, she's currently tied for 20th in NCAA all-time history for career points.
• Head coach Jen Adams picked up her 175th career victory with a 16-6 win at Georgetown Wednesday night. Assistant coach Dana Dobbie has been with Adams for all 175 of those wins, and Caroline Hager has also been with the program for all 175 wins, as she played two seasons for Adams before joining the coaching staff.
• Sydni Black and Jillian Wilson were added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List through the first round of additions. Black is one of seven sophomores among the 38 honored, while the Greyhounds are one of five programs with four-or-more players included.
Loyola Greyhounds (5-0, 0-0 Patriot League)
• Ten Greyhounds have contributed to the offense, with Livy Rosenzweig leading the team with 15 goals, six assists and 21 points.
• Sydni Black is second on the team with 13 goals and 17 points, while Loyola's midfielders - Elli Kluegel, Sam Fiedler and Jillian Wilson - have combined for 40 points. Wilson also leads the team with 33 draw controls, while Rosenzweig has 15 and Black has 13.
• Defensively, Shay Clevenger has 10 ground balls, while Katie Detwiler, the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week this week, leads all players with even caused turnovers.
• In goal, Kaitlyn Larsson has played 292 minutes. She's allowing 8.21 goals per game and has 38 saves to go with 11 ground balls.
Florida Gators (2-3, 0-0 American Athletic Conference)
• Although the Gators bring a 2-3 record into the contest, all three of their losses have been to top-five nationally ranked teams.
• Florida opened its season with a 22-7 win over Kennesaw State before falling 15-11 to No. 2 North Carolina, 18-8 to No. 5 Maryland and 14-13 to No. 5 Stony Brook. The Gators avenged the three-game losing skid with a 14-6 win at Liberty on Wednesday.
• Danielle Pavinelli leads the offense with 21 goals and 28 points, while Emma LoPinto has 15 goals and 22 points.
• Becky Browndorf leads the defense with 10 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. In goal, Sarah Reznick has played 280 minutes. She's posted a 12.42 goals-against average and .396 save percentage.
Series History with Florida
• Florida holds the edge in the all-time series with the Greyhounds, winning six of the eight games.
• Loyola is on a two-game win streak against the Gators though, winning 15-12 at home in 2019 and 17-6 in Gainesville, Fla., in 2020.
Familiar Faces
• Loyola will welcome former three-time All-American midfielder Taryn VanThof '15 back to Ridley Athletic Complex. VanThof is in her sixth season as an assistant coach at Florida.
• VanThof recorded 160 points for the Greyhounds, scoring 108 goals and assisting 52 more. She also set the program's record for draw controls, winning 318. Her younger sister Taylor later broke her record.
Tewaaraton Award Watch List
• Loyola is one of five schools nationally to have four-or-more players included on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, joining Boston College, Maryland, North Carolina and Syracuse.
• Katie Detwiler and Livy Rosenzweig were named to the initial watch list, and Sydni Black and Jillian Wilson were included on the first round of additions.
• Rosenzweig is a four-time watch list honoree and two-time semifinalist, as she was named a top-25 honoree in 2019 and 2021 (there was no award in 2020).
• Detwiler is a three-time watch list honoree and was one of only seven defenders to be named to the initial watch list in February.
• Black is one of seven sophomores among the 38 players on the watch list through the first round of additions.
• Wilson is making her first appearance on the watch list.
Adams Gets Win No. 175
• Head coach Jen Adams entered her 14th season with a 170-69 record as Loyola's head coach. With a 5-0 start to the season, she became the 35th coach in NCAA history to reach 175th wins as an NCAA Division I head coach.
• Adams is also six games away from her 250th game as a head coach.
• Only one other coach in Loyola's history has reached 175 victories and 250 games coached; legendary Hall of Fame coach Diane Geppi-Aikens. Geppi-Aikens coached 268 games from 1989-2003, winning 197 (a .735 win pct).
