EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette College used a 10-3 run from late in the third quarter to midway into the fourth to pull away from Loyola University Maryland for a 58-49 victory in the Patriot League Championships First Round at the Kirby Sports Center.
Two
Taleah Dixon free throws with 70 seconds left in the third quarter narrowed the Leopards' lead to 43-39, but Abby Antognolia made a corner three 17 ticks later, starting the Lafayette run.
Naomi Gampo converted in the paint on the first possession of the fourth for Lafayette, but

Loyola led for the majority of the first half, going up by as many as seven, 22-15, on a
Devyne Newman 3-pointer with 4:09 to play in the half. The Leopards slowly chipped away at the deficit, cutting it to one at halftime.
