EASTON, Pa. - The No. 7 Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team put together a season-long 19-goal scoring streak while the defense shutout Lafayette through two quarters, allowing the Greyhounds to cruise to a 20-2 win over the Leopards at Fisher Stadium Saturday.

Chase Boyle led all players with four goals, while graduate student
Livy Rosenzweig had a game-high six points on two goals and four assists. Classmate
Sam Fiedler contributed five points on two goals and three assists and freshman
Georgia Latch tacked on four points, scoring one goal and assisting three others.

Sydni Black all scored twice, and junior
Catie Corolla and freshmen
Lily Osborne and
Gabby Stapleton rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece.
In goal for Loyola (15-1 overall, 8-0 Patriot League), graduate student
Kaitlyn Larsson played the first 30 minutes and stopped six shots while allowing just one goal, while freshman
Lauren Spence played the final 30 minutes and stopped four shots while giving up just one goal. Combined, the duo collected 10 saves and gave up just two goals.
Defensively, the Greyhound didn't allow a goal for 49:57, as Lafayette scored the first goal of the game just 1:32 into play. The Leopards wouldn't score again until the 8:31 mark of the fourth quarter, as Boyle and Wilson scored twice in the first quarter, with Latch and Fiedler also scoring to give the Greyhounds a 6-1 lead after the first 15 minutes. Second-quarter goals from Corolla, Boyle (two), Black, Wills, Hillman and Rosenzweig saw Loyola take a 13-1 lead into halftime.
Goals from Black, Fiedler, Rosenzweig, Hillman and Wills pushed Loyola ahead 18-1 by the end of the third quarter, before Stapleton made it 19-straight Greyhound goals early in the fourth quarter. The Leopards snapped Loyola's season-long goal streak by scoring a free position goal with 8:31 left to play, before Osborne's free position goal closed out the scoring in the game.
For the game, the Greyhounds held an 18-7 advantage in draws, a 38-20 advantage in shots, a 19-16 edge in ground balls and a 13-7 advantage in caused turnovers. Wilson led all players with six draw controls, while Black had four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Loyola will return to action on Thursday when it hosts No. 24 Navy in the regular-season finale at Ridley Athletic Complex. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
