Detwiler, one of four defenders to earn first-team honors, has been one of the top match-up defenders in the NCAA this season. Throughout the season, she matched up on five players on the US Lacrosse Magazine's All-America list and allowed more than two goals to just one player – Princeton's Kyla Sears. She held Syracuse's leading scorer Meaghan Tyrell (who averages 3.7 goals and 5.5 points per game) to just two goals and three points, marking just one of four times in 18 games that Tyrrell has been limited to three points or less this season. The Devon, Pa. native also held Johns Hopkins' Shelby Harrison scoreless and snapped Danielle Pavinelli's five-game streak of hat tricks for Florida, as she gave up just one goal to both Pavinelli and Penn State's Kristin O'Neill. For the season, Detwiler has anchored a stingy defensive unit that ranks third nationally in goals allowed (7.58), as they've given up double digit goals on just four occasions.
Wilson is a do-it-all midfielder for the Greyhounds and is earning her first All-America honor. One of the nation's top-eight midfielders, Wilson has helped Loyola rank seventh nationally in clear percentage (.919) and fourth in draw control percentage (.610), as she ranks 18th in the NCAA with 117 wins this season. The Hampstead, Md., native is also second on the team in goals this season, scoring 42, while her 53 points ranks fourth on the nation's fifth-ranked scoring offense. Defensively, she's drawn a match-up on top opponents, including All-Americans Emily Hawryschuk (Syracuse) and Emma LoPinto (Florida), and has helped the Greyhounds rank second nationally in scoring margin.
Rosenzweig, an attacker from Katonah, N.Y., is on the verge of her third 100-plus point season, as she enters the NCAA Tournament ranked seventh nationally with 98 points. Rosenzweig also leads the NCAA's fifth-ranked scoring offense (16.68 goals per game) in both goals and assists, as she ranks 26th nationally with 60 goals and 13th with 38 assists. One of the most accomplished and decorated players in program history, Rosenzweig enters the NCAA Tournament with a 73-game point streak, as she has contributed 10 hat tricks this season and tallied at least five points in 15 contests and six-or-more through 10 games.
Larsson is one of three goalkeepers to earn All-America accolades from US Lacrosse Magazine. The graduate student from Garden City, N.Y., has had a phenomenal season in goal for the Greyhounds, as her 7.79 goals-against average currently ranks second in the NCAA. She's also 12th nationally in save percentage, as she's stopping 49.6 percent of shots faced. In conference games, she was even better, as the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year allowed just 5.72 goals per game to League foes and stopped 59.2 percent of shots faced.
The Greyhounds, the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament, will host Mount St. Mary's in the NCAA First Round on Thursday at 3 p.m.
