NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Graduate student Livy Rosenzweig has been named the IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week after leading the fifth-ranked and sixth-seeded Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2015.
 
Rosenzweig shared a game-high in points through both games and led an offense that put more goals on each of its opponents than any other team this season. The attacker from Katonah, New York, tallied her 11th hat trick of the season by scoring with three goals and adding two assists in a 17-5 win over Mount St. Mary's in the first round, marking the first time the Mount has given up 17 goals since the 2021 NCAA Tournament. She then assisted six goals in the Greyhounds' 18-8 win over No. 10 James Madison in the second round, marking the first time since 2019 that the Dukes have given up 18 goals in a game.
 
With a point in each game, the Patriot League Attacker of the Year stretched her point streak to 75-straight games, while she also won 21 draw controls on the weekend to break Loyola's all-time career record for draws. With 401, Rosenzweig passed former All-American Taylor VanThof, who won 396 from 2016-19, and became just the second player in Patriot League history and the 20th in NCAA history to win at least 400 draw controls throughout their career.
 
So far this season, Rosenzweig ranks fifth in the NCAA with both 46 assists and 109 points, while her 116 draw controls ranks 22nd nationally.
 
The Greyhounds will continue their quest towards its first-ever national championship by taking on No. 3 Boston College in the quarterfinal round on Thursday. Opening draw is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Newton Campus Lacrosse & Soccer Field.
