Detwiler, Rosenzweig, Wilson Earn IWLCA All-America Honors

BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse graduate student Livy Rosenzweig and seniors Katie Detwiler and Jillian Wilson were named IWLCA All-Americans, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Thursday. Detwiler picked up her first-ever first-team honor, while Rosenzweig and Wilson collected second-team accolades.

Detwiler becomes the 21st Greyhound in program history to earn first-team All-America honors, while this is her second-straight IWLCA All-America accolade. One of the top-five defenders in the NCAA this season, Detwiler anchored a defensive unit that ranked third nationally in scoring defense, giving up 8.05 goals per game. The Patriot League Defender of the Year also helped hold 17 of Loyola's 22 opponents to single digits in scoring throughout the season, including all nine Patriot League opponents, as the Greyhounds led the League with a 5.77 GAA in conference-only games. A Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist, Detwiler consistently limited her match-ups' scoring opportunities and ultimately earned a League-best four Patriot League Defender of the Week accolades this season. The ILWomen All-American finished the season with 22 ground balls and a team-best 20 caused turnovers.

Rosenzweig becomes the program's first-ever four-time IWLCA All-American, as she earned second-team accolades. Also the Patriot League's first-ever four-time IWLCA All-American, Rosenzweig picked up her second-consecutive Patriot League Attacker of the Year accolade this season and became just the eighth player in League history to earn four first-team All-Patriot League honors. She was also named a Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist for the third time in her career, and she picked up her fifth ILWomen All-America honor to go with Patriot League Tournament MVP accolades for the second time. In recording her third 100-plus point season, Rosenzweig ranked tied for 19th in the NCAA with 65 goals, fifth with 46 assists and tied for fifth with 111 points. Her 128 draw controls also ranked 11th nationally this season.

Wilson earns her first IWLCA All-America honor after ranking ninth in the NCAA with 133 draw controls this year. The Patriot League Midfielder of the Year recorded her 100th career point in the season opener and then scored her 100th career goal at American. She also became the third Greyhound in program history to win 100 draw controls in a single season, as her 133 from this season ranks second in Loyola's single-season record books. Also an ILWomen All-American, the true two-way midfielder finished the season second on the team in goals, with 48, fourth in points, with 61, second in ground balls, with 31, and fifth in caused turnovers, with 14.

The Greyhounds concluded their season with a school record in wins, as they put together a 20-2 overall record on the season after advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since 2015. Loyola also set the NCAA record for consecutive-conference games won, stretching their Patriot League win streak to 66-straight games since joining the League for the 2014 season.
