The Matchup
- The Loyola women's lacrosse continues its 2023 campaign with a top-ten matchup at Florida.
- This will be the 10th meeting between the two teams, with the last matchup coming last season, when the Greyhounds won 12-9 at home.. 
- The Gators come into the matchup with a 3-2 record, with their three wins coming against Michigan, Furman and Arizona State. The Gators two losses were to No. 1 North Carolina and then No. 6 Maryland. This will be the Gators third ranked matchup.

- The Greyhounds return seven of their top 10 scorers from the 2022 season, led by four players who scored 25 or more goals: Jillian Wilson (48), Sydni Black (39), Georgia Latch (38), and Chase Boyle (25). 
- Latch also finished second on the team in 2022 with 38 assists, good for second most by a freshman in program history. 

Last Time Out
- Loyola University Maryland hosted Georgetown on Wednesday evening.
- The Greyhounds had a strong first half offensively, as they scored 10 goals in the first half.
- Emily Wills led the way for the Greyhounds in the first half, as the senior had a hat-trick and an assist in the first half. 
- Chase Boyle scored the goal of the season thus far, as the sophomore scored on a no-look behind-the-back goal off of an assist from Sydni Black early in the second half. 
- Georgia Latch had her second straight three-goal, three-assist game.

- The Greyhounds will be back home on Wednesday, when they host No. 2 Syracuse at 6:00 PM.

Series History
- Florida leads 6-3 in a series that dates back to 2013
- The Greyhounds have faced the Gators in 9 of the last 10 seasons, with 2021 being the only year they haven't matched up since 2013. 
- The Gators won the first six matchups between the two programs, but the Greyhounds have had success as of late, as they have won the last three matchups..  

Scouting Florida
- The Gators come into the matchup with a 3-2 record on the season, and a 1-2 record in ranked matchups.
- Emma LoPinto leads the Gators with 17 goals on the season, while Danielle Pavinelli and Maggi Hall are second with 11 goals each. 
- LoPinto and Ashley Gonzalez are tied for the team lead in assists with six each. 
- In their last game against Arizona State, Maggi Hall and Emily Heller both recorded hat-tricks, while Pavinelli, LoPinto, and Ava Tighe all added two goals each. 
- The Gators have had three players in net this season, with Sarah Reznick starting all five games. Reznick has tallied 48 saves on the season with a .495 save percentage on the year, and 49 goals allowed. She also has a 11.12 GAA through five games. 
- Florida was picked to win the American Athletic Conference.     

Big Shoes to Fill
- The Greyhounds will have big shoes to fill this season, as Livy Rosenzweig wrapped up her illustrious playing career in 2022. 
- Rosenzweig finished as the Loyola career leader in points and assists, among several single season records. She also finished her career with the third-most assists and 4th most points in NCAA history. 
- The Greyhounds will also have to replace the goal contributions from Sam Fiedler and Ellie Kluegel. Fiedler sits at ninth all-time in Loyola in goals, while Kluegel is at 11th all-time. 
- Loyola also has a new face in goal, as they said goodbye to All-American Kaitlyn Larsson after last season. Larsson finished her career in the top-10 in career saves for the Greyhounds.
