Kelly Ratigan knocked down a three-pointer with 8:31 left in the third quarter, as the Greyhounds took their biggest lead of the night 34-28. The Terriers responded with an 18-2 run to end the quarter, as the Terriers held on to win 66-52.
Over the Terriers 18-2 run, Alex Giannaros had 12 of the Terriers 18 points, as she made four three-pointers during the run. Caramina Tanedo knocked down a three-pointer with 7:53 left in the fourth quarter to cut the Greyhounds deficit down to 52-39. The Greyhounds could not cut more into the Terriers lead, as they managed to close out the game down the stretch.
Taleah Dixon and
Devyne Newman had a team-high 11 points on the night.
Bri Rozzi added 9 points, while
Kelly Ratigan and
Lex Therien added 8 points each. Therien added 11 rebounds on the night for another double-digit rebound game.
After the Terriers retook the lead halfway through the second quarter,
Lex Therien got her first field goal of the game with 4:40 left to tie the game 22-22. With the quarter winding down,
Taleah Dixon knocked down a step-back jumper with :39 seconds left as the Greyhounds trailed 26-27 at halftime.
The Greyhounds had a strong start to the game, as they jumped out to an 6-3 lead with 5:32 left in the first quarter. They continued their momentum through the first quarter, as
Taleah Dixon knocked down a three pointer late in the quarter as they led 15-13 after the first quarter.
The Greyhounds end the 2022-23 with a 10-21 record. This is the first 10-win season since the 2016-17 season, and saw a five-win improvement during the season.
