The Matchup
- The Loyola women's lacrosse continues its 2023 campaign with a home matchup against Georgetown on Wednesday evening.
- This will be the 24th meeting between the two teams, with the last matchup coming last season, when the Greyhounds won 16-6 on the road.
- The Hoyas come into the matchup with a 3-3 record, with their three wins coming against Harvard, Delaware, and American. The Hoyas have lost to Towson and Johns Hopkins; two teams teh Greyhounds have beaten this year.

- The Greyhounds traveled to face unbeaten Penn State on Saturday afternoon.
- In what has been a common theme this season, the Greyhounds got out to another fast start, scoring the first five goals of the game, as they led 6-2 at halftime.
- The Greyhounds continued their momentum in the third quarter, as they scored three of the four goals in the quarter to jump out to a 9-3 lead.

Georgia Latch had a big game against the Nittany Lions, as she tallied a hat-trick of goals and assists, finishing with six points in the game.

- The Greyhounds will be back on the road on Saturday, as the Greyhounds travel to face the No. 10 Florida Gators.
Series History
- Loyola leads 14-9 in a series that dates back to 1977.
- The Greyhounds have faced the Hoyas in 17 of the last 18 seasons, and have played eachother 18 times since 2006.
- During the Greyhounds tenure in the Big East, they faced the Hoyas in the BIG EAST Championships twice, in 2010 and 2013, with the Hoyas winning both matchups.
Scouting Penn State
- The matchup will be the Hoyas second ranked matchup of the season, with the first coming on March 1 against Johns Hopkins.
- The Hoyas are led by Erin Bakes who has 18 goals on the season. Kylie Hazen leads the team in points, with 21 points on the season; tallying 11 goals and 10 assists. Hazen leads the team in assists, and is the only Hoya with more than two assists.
- Leah Warehime and Emily Gaven have both tallied atleast 150 minutes in goal this season, with Gaven tallying 31 saves and 36 goals allowed, and Warehime tallying 30 saves and 26 goals allowed.
- In their win against Delaware, Erin Bakes and Kylie Hazen both had four goals in the win.
- The Hoyas were picked to finish in second place in the BIG EAST, one spot behind Denver in the poll.
Big Shoes to Fill
- The Greyhounds will have big shoes to fill this season, as
Livy Rosenzweig wrapped up her illustrious playing career in 2022.
- Rosenzweig finished as the Loyola career leader in points and assists, among several single season records. She also finished her career with the third-most assists and 4th most points in NCAA history.
- The Greyhounds will also have to replace the goal contributions from
Sam Fiedler and Ellie Kluegel. Fiedler sits at ninth all-time in Loyola in goals, while Kluegel is at 11th all-time.
- Loyola also has a new face in goal, as they said goodbye to All-American
Kaitlyn Larsson after last season. Larsson finished her career in the top-10 in career saves for the Greyhounds.
