BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland women's rowing team hosted Lehigh and Old Dominion at the Baltimore Rowing and Water Resource Center with the varsity four taking the best finish of the day for the Greyhounds.
 
The boat of Holly Hanscom, Lindsey Thompson, Kristine Jones, Erin White and coxswain Bella Schafer took second behind Lehigh with a time of 9:14.76, beating Old Dominion by almost 10 seconds.
 
Old Dominion won the varsity eight race by less than a second over Lehigh. The Greyhounds entry – Emma McCann, Megan Gallucci, Olivia Welch, Lindsey Bonavita, Grace Dwan, Greace Prince, Daniella Niedermeyer, Anna Kelley and coxswain Delaney Gibbons – were third in 7:27.27.
 
The Greyhounds' second varsity eight – Adriana Leszczynski, Marua Budd, Samantha Walsh, Juliana Merlino, Evy Ryan, Ivy Gallagher, Beata Turnquist, Grace Gola and coxswain Meilyn Frank – took third in 8:35.81.
 
Loyola's novice four – Cassidy Garcia, Emily Pedersen, Valentina Masi, Anna Schiller and coxswain Calista Van Syckel – finished second to Old Dominion in 9:35.37.
 
The Loyola men scrimmaged against the Potomac Boat Club with successful results in four-minute pieces.
 
Loyola's varsity eight – Eion McDonough, David Schechter, Joseph Arvelo, Frederich Lightner, Tobias Ensor, Chris Engelbert, Max Greer, Joshua Rafferty and coxswain Joseph Sigmund – took a solid victory of a length in the first piece and then extended the margin to open water in the second.
 
The second varsity eight – Devon Sangiorgio, Rhys Morgan, Guillermo Diaz, Jeremiah James, Matt Smith, Logan Lyle, Sam Hoerning, Ben Sala and coxswain Katie Blanch – and third varsity eight – Nick Carrieri, Perry Schutt, Jack Quinones, Salvri Manalasan, Matteo Mood, Jacob Cordes, Jack Woelper and coxswain Bella Schafer – had good back-and-forth racing, each logging splits in the pieces.
