Welcome to the Greyhounds
- The Greyhounds welcome 17 newcomers to the roster in 2023, which includes three transfers and 14 Freshman.

Rolando Onu (Kent, England) transferred to the Greyhounds after two standout seasons at Eastern Florida State College.

Caden Stafford (Cincinnatus, NY) transferred to the Greyhounds after spending one season at Maryland. Stafford was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team after scoring three goals and tallying two assists.

Dylan Van der Walt (San Antonio, TX) joins the Greyhounds after spending his freshman season at Rutgers.
- The freshman class features players from five different states and two countries outside of the United States (
Ben Schouten: Canada,
Chris Ogor: England).
Scouting NJIT
- The Highlanders are coming into the matchup after winning their first game of the season, as they defeated Villanova 4-1 on Thursday night.
- They started the season on the road with a pair of matchups in Illinois, as they opened the season with the University of Illinois Chicago and against Northwestern (3-1 loss, 1-0 loss).
- Goncalo Franco leads the team with two goals thus far this season, with Andrea Campoli, Ramchwy St. Vil, and Hugo Tavares have a goal each.
- Maximus Barboto leads the team with two assists, while Alvaro Heredia, Enrique Mutsoli, and Jordi Sanchez each have an assist.
- Samuel Reisgys has started all three games in goal, compiling 9 saves, an 1.67 GAA, and an .643 save percentage.
- The Highlanders were picked to finish in fifth place in the America East Preseason Poll.
