BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland senior Kacy Sekunda was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team on Wednesday, two days after earning All-Patriot League Second Team recognition.
 
Sekunda, who is on track to graduate with a bachelor's degree in speech, hearing and language sciences, has a near-4.0 grade-point average as a student-athlete at Loyola. The award marks the second year in a row she has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team.
 
On the court, the Dean's List member finished her fourth season at Loyola with 244 kills, 428 assists and 308 digs as a setter and opposite for the Greyhounds.
 
Sekunda is tied for third nationally in triple doubles this season, racking up 10 or more kills, assists and digs in nine matches to bring her career total to 13.
