Vestal, NY -- A 8-3 Loyola University Maryland run to start the second half cut the Binghamton University lead down to five points halfway through the third quarter, but the Bearcats outscored the Greyhounds 30-19 over the remainder of the game for a 62-46 non-conference victory.
Cristina Garcia started the second half run with a hook shot in the paint.
Koi Sims followed it up with a layup with 8:01 remaining in the third quarter.
Amandine Amorich knocked down a pair of free throws, as Sims followed it up with another basket on the ensuing possession, as they cut the Greyhounds (4-3 overall) deficit down to 32-27 with 5:46 remaining.
The Bearcats (5-3 overall), however, responded with a 12-3 run over the next 4:30 to extend their lead to 14-points. Laura Salmeron knocked down a three-pointer at the end of the quarter, as they trailed 44-33 entering the fourth quarter.
Binghamton paced Loyola in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Greyhounds 18-13 in the quarter to secure the 62-46 win.
Koi Sims led all players with 12 points and 12 rebounds on the afternoon for her second double-double of the season.
Laura Salmeron added 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists, while
Amandine Amorich had 8 points to go along with 4 assists and 4 steals.
The Greyhounds return home to Baltimore on Wednesday, when they will face Radford at 11:00 am.
